Envelope co-founders Simon and Tom were never believers in buying wedding gifts. They stood faith in newlyweds creating memories to cherish together for a life-time. A home project for Simon’s own wedding transformed into an online product, leading to a collaboration with a New York-based hand-writing robot (yes, robot).
How can Envelope differentiate itself from every other wedding registry? Envelope is driven to help newlyweds start their married lives together in more meaningful ways. We believe in creating memories together; be it through doing, through learning or through traveling, makes for happy relationships.
Created by Simon Baldwin and Tom Holt for Simon’s own wedding in 2014, Envelope is a new take on an old tradition. Envelope swaps unwanted toasters with airline miles or sunset cocktails. Envelope is a modern wedding registry, visualised as a snapshot of experiences that newlyweds desire.
With the help of a ground-breaking, handwriting robot, Envelope also helps couples say THANK YOU to their guests with ease and style. We keep a record of every gift that was given, who it was given by, and the givers’ postal address.  When the time comes to say thanks, couples simply log on to their registry, choose a card (all made on beautiful 300GMS paper), and compose their heartfelt message.
Then it’s just a matter of telling the robot which style to use from a selection of 18 handwriting styles. Your registry will give you a preview of how the card will look and once you’re happy, the card is written and posted (anywhere in the world) all within 24 hours.
